Emotionless and solitarySeething like a drumPulsing in the rhythmOf a clock ticking on your tongue.i really like how the author uses personification and onomatopoeia of 'ticking' to emphasize the theme of patience. come to think of it, we actually are little clockwork mechanisms, well, everyone comes complete with one anyways. and how he perseives us as emotionless and solitary, maybe not knowing love. without knowing the feeling, one might be considered as emotionless. or incomplete.
'pulsing' might signify our lifespan, or that in co-relation to the clock, signifying how little time we have on earch, yet, to still be patient because good things come to those who wait.
:D
i really like this poem, though this entry might be counted as not really an entry but literature instead. okay somewhat literature, but this poem means alot to me, wordwise, because i think that patience is the most difficult emotion to conquer. you can't really conquer it, as no one can master patience. it'll just extend it's head and bite you on your ass once it actually gets caught.
no one can tame patience, and thats why it's considered a virtue.
thanks chris, for today! letting us come over (:
