There once lived this girl, she wasn’t wonderfully beautiful or extremely smart. She was just an average girl living on her life. One day however, she met this boy. He was the sweetest boy ever and he swept her off her feet, she couldn’t ever imagine herself with him because she didn’t know what he would see in such an ordinary person. She saw flaws in herself everyday, but daily, this boy would tell her that she was beautiful no matter what, and how he would keep his heart with hers forever.
They grew in love and it never ever ceased. Day after day, she just fell deeper and deeper. His charming good looks made her heart do a back flip every time she laid eyes upon him, and his charm got her heart all tingly. His hugs were like warm fuzzy blankets in a mid winters storm, and his kisses were like ecstasy, because she would never ever want to stop kissing him. He was beautiful both inside and out and she loved him dearly.
As time went on, their relationship experienced ups and downs, but no matter what, she knew that he would be his rock to lean on, the support when she was weak and the shoulder to cry on. He kept telling her that they’d be forever and as she looked into those eyes, she saw no hint of doubt.
As they neared their 6th month mark, God decided to test the foundations of their relationship. It wasn’t easy as she was suffering internally from stress and the frequent emotional breakdown. However, she tried to stay true to him but her efforts weren’t good enough. She got scared because the one time promise of always being together left his mind and there was suddenly no more rock, no more shoulder, no one else.
No one knew but she went home crying every single day, begging that she would match up to his standards and he would just love her again, but no matter how they patched things up and decided to continue on, the old scars never seemed to heal, but she kept convincing herself otherwise. She held on with all she had to him but it seemed as if it wasn’t good enough.
One day, she wanted to know if she was worth it to him anymore, whether he would do anything for her even if it was going out of the way. She didn’t ask for anything too extreme but she just asked that he would turn up for her tennis match on Saturday morning at the unfortunate hour of
Before that, she wrote a 3 page note to him, telling him that she was sorry that she had to do this but it was the only way it could be proved. She knew she loved him, so she only wrote 1 single note. 3 pages, telling him she was sorry and she loved him. It never occurred to her that he wouldn’t show up, so that morning, she got up bright and early, with bright eyes and a small smile. All that mattered was that everything was going to be the same again. Love conquered all.
I guess he didn’t really love her. He never showed. She then writes a note for him after the match. It wasn’t 3 pages long. It wasn’t 2. It wasn’t even 1 page long.
It wasn’t 1 paragraph.Hope was lost and he didn’t care like she did for him. She went home in tears because he didn’t even call. Didn’t even text to say good luck. Least of all, wasn’t even there.
The note said all that he wanted to say to her a long time ago when she begged him to forgive her and to start anew.
That note just read ‘goodbye.i just can't do this alone’
